For the first time a Bulgarian received ninth dan in taekwon-do. At a short and exciting ceremony, Grand Master Ivan Tzatchev received the highest ninth 9. Dan and became the first Bulgarian and the first Norwegian to be awarded this degree. It is awarded for his many years of contributions to the development of taekwon-do, loyalty to the Korean martial art, and dedication.

Congratulations to student of SM Ivan Tzatchev, Mr. Ahmed Nordin, he just won Gold medal in Patterns at the IITA – International Inclusive Taekwondo Federation – World Championship for disables online. Ahmed was the first one in Norway with Down Syndrom to achieve Black belt. ATN- ATN-Taekwondo Norway come on 4 place.
A regular meeting on the zoom platform was held on JUNE 23, 2024. Members of Executive committee were bringing news for upcoming events and discussed news that will soon be announced to all GTF members.

News from Dubai, Kazakhstan GTF has hosted a very successful training seminar with Master Ivan Tzatchev GTF 8th Dan from Norway . Our GTF Masters are actively promoting GTF in their home countries and abroad. The Next major GTF event will be held in Cyprus Turkey in September.

The original GTF Taekwondo is growing. After successful seminar with guest instructor Senior Master Ivan Tzatchev 8.Dan was arranged promotion test in Poltavskaiya. It was 12 who passed 1.Dan , 6 passed 2 Dan, and 1 passed 6.Dan. They present high TKD technical and physical skills. Congratulations to all, well deserved new Degree.

WE REMEMBER THE ICONIC MARTIAL ARTIST GRAND MASTER PARK JUNG TAE WHO PASSED AWAY ON APRIL 11, 2002.
THIRTY-TWO YEARS AGO ON JUNE 15,1990, GRAND MASTER PARK FOUNDED THE GLOBAL TAEKWON-DO FEDERATION KNOWN AS GTF. THAT WAS A HISTORICAL DAY IN THE HISTORY OF TAEKWON-DO, THE MARTIAL ART. OVER THE YEARS, THROUGH HIS TENACIOUSNESS AND EXCEPTIONAL TECHNICAL SKILLS, GRAND MASTER PARK WAS ABLE TO BUILD A STRONG FOUNDATION FOR GTF’S POSTERITY. HIS HUMBLE CHARACTER AND ABILITY TO TEACH ANYONE, ANYWHERE CREATED A PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT FOR SHARING HIS WISDOM AND TECHNICAL EXPERTISE. HE BECAME KNOWN AS THE ‘PEOPLE’S MASTER’.
THE DEATH OF GRAND MASTER PARK WAS A BIG LOSS FOR THE MARTIAL ARTS WORLD COMMUNITY BUT THE CORE INSTRUCTORS WHO TRAINED DIRECTLY UNDER GRAND MASTER PARK CONTINUED HIS LEGACY AND NOW THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF INSTRUCTORS AROUND THE WORLD PROMOTING AND DEVELOPING GTF AS HE INTENDED.

His death took place on the 17th of December. May he Rest in Peace.

The meeting concentrate on important matters during 2021 and comfirm that The right way was choose stabilize GTF. Today we were told very bad news – Sergey Kovalev is no longer with us. Kovalev – the first president of (all) Taekwon-do Russia, the first president of the Taekwon-do GTF of Russia. GTF Executive Committee Zoom meeting resolved the issue of umpire manual and selection of Technical Committee Chairman.
ISSUES DISCUSSED: 1: UMPIRE MANUAL – The “GTF Umpire Manual” has been compiled and finished by Master Con Connolly. The manual has been agreed as an new official Umpire Manual for GTF members. Manual will be available to all our members soon.
2: TECHNICAL COMMITTEE – It was proposed and unanimously agreed that GM Chris Gantner be appointed as Technical Committee Chairman.

At the last Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan among Youth (16-17 years old) and Adults (+18), the GTFRK Federation awarded the athletes with cups for the best technique, for a spectacular fight, for a beautiful fight and for the shortest fight.

The GTF has decided to create a new Division in this Federation. Of course, due to Covid-19 this new Division cannot fully be operative right now in every country but we want to be ready as soon as we can start.
The GTF President has asked Master Ivan Tzatchev to head this new Division as he has been teaching students with special development needs for fifteen years now.
Trainings in Belarus is doing well, all classes are training at the gym and improving quality and skills.
